A Swap for Onstage

A Swap for Onstage

I have just returned from Onstage Sydney, and to spread the love I created some swaps to share with Stampin' friends.

I knew I wanted to use the Bubble over suite.
Bubble Over Bundle - 146082

I started with a base layer. By stamping the bubbles in clear versa mark, then sponging over with Crushed Curry and Tangerine Tango, I was able to have a fun layer to build from.

I then stamped and die cut all of the bottles and bottle caps to use. Some bottles were Bermuda Bay direct with the remainder all stamped off once to give to different tones. I was ready to assemble.

With a little Black Twine - 141695 to feature underneath the bottles the finished products had a pop of colour and a bit of fizz.

If you too would like to make cards like these, send me a message and we can organise how we can make that happen.

Thanks

A BLEND of craft and relaxation

A BLEND of craft and relaxation!

On weekends I often find myself sitting out the back with my husband just relaxing. But what relaxing means to some does not always mean the same to others. I really don't know how to just stop, so my downtime often involves crafting aswell.

I used one of these days to create my best friends birthday card for this year.

I sat out the back under the pergola and just wanted to colour. I love colouring with the Stampin' Blends, but what makes it even better is using it with DSP that has the best images to colour. I was able to use the Petal Passion Designer Series Paper to get crafting in a real relaxation mood. I was able to colour in the images, then use my snips to delicately cut out the flower images I wanted for the card.

After a few hours of colouring I was then ready to put these items into use for the card. I wanted a layered card. Something special for someone special. So I layered a card within a card. I continued using more of the Petal Passion DSP, but also incorporated the Lovely Friends Stamp Set to really get the message right.

The front is where my colouring items are showcased. I was able to layer the different floral images on dimensionals to give them some depth. I stamped then punched with the Pretty Label Punch a birthday sentiment.

The layered card inside is opposite the stamped message. Berry Burst, Pool Party and Old Olive were the colours that helped the message pop. I added an extra coloured and fussy cut flower here as well.

I couldn't leave the inside of the internal card blank, so I added one more sentiment and one more coloured and cut out flower.

I really enjoyed creating this card for my friend.

If you like the look of the techniques, stamps or products used here, let me know.  You could attend one of my classes, order one of my classes on the run (where you can order the class kit along with the stamp set), purchase some of the products through my online store, or even join my team and receive ongoing support and creative ideas.

Celebrate Sale-A-Bration

Celebrating Sale-A-Bration

Wow! It's been way too long since I've blogged, and for that I'm sorry.
My goal this year is to try to do one at least fortnightly. Let's see how I go.
It's Sale A Bration time, which means new catalogue, great offers, and creative juices flowing everywhere.
Last night I held a class using SAB product. Did you miss out? Here is a peek at what we did.

Party Pandas
147218
Free with a level one qualifying order.

We created 4 different cards using Sale A Bration products. Party Panda the fun juggler, then the Beautiful Peacock, Bottles and Amazing you.

Beautiful Peacock
147239

Free with a level one qualifying order.

We used Brusho to create the background before heat embossing the white tail. Fussy cutting the Peacock an sticking it with dimensionals made him pop.

Amazing You
147212

Free with a level one qualifying order.

Celebrate You Thinlits Dies
146840
Free with a level two qualifying order.

Layering helps create depth with the design, and thats what we did with this card. Using dies, embossing, punches and stamping, we layered textures elements to reply make the card pop.

Bubbles and Fizz
Designer Series Paper

147244

Free with a level one qualifying order.

Our last card was the Bottle card using the Bubble and Fizz Paper. It co-ordinates perfectly with the Bubble Over Bundle (146082 - $71.00) from the Occasions catalogue. Can you see the fabulous droplets too? The Glitter & Clear Epoxy Shapes (145632 - $12.25) create the right moisture look for the bottles.

If you missed my class but would like to attend an upcoming one - head over to my events page to find a class that would suit you.

Until next time,
Happy Stamping!

Whats hot in Sale-a-bration

Every time a new catalogue launches, I create a Printers Tray that highlights some of the wonderful products.

This month I have created one just for Sale-A-Bration, so in one snapshot you can see just some of the fantastic things you can get for free with every $90 you order.

So let me share with you some of these features. The Botanicals for you stamp set was the first one I ordered. I just love the large sentiment. Here I used just the stamp on Whisper White cardstock.
The next item I wanted to include was some of the Botanical Gardens Vellum. Soft and pretty that fits nicely with all of the Botanicals DSP from the Occasions catalogue, but also looks great behind the Wildflower Fields DSP.

You will notice that I have used the Wildflowers DSP as the background for all other samples on the tray. Which means I used the co-ordinating colours which are: Basic Black, Blackberry Bliss, Calypso Coral, Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon, Old Olive and Whisper White.

I also have the lovely Perfect Pairings Stamp set. These are fantastic words that can be used in so many settings. I can even see them being great for my scrapbooking.

To match the Wildflower Fields DSP, I also have the Flowering Fields Stamp set. On this sample, I inked the flowers only with my marker and then stamped it over a dsp. It looks like it fits nicely.

The Honeycomb Happiness stamp set seems to be favourite, so I couldn't resist and I made the three samples with each of the pictures and the corresponding sentiments.

The last stamp set featured was the Sky is the limit. This set is only available until 15th February, so if you like this set you will need to get in quick.

Now there is one more limited time only product used in the tray and that is the Perfectly Artistic DSP. Can you spot it. It is one of my favourites, so I will be featuring this product in an upcoming blog - so stay tuned.

If you would like to see more, attend a class or even the catalogue launch, hold you own class, or become a demonstrator yourself - contact me at nikkimierssu@gmail.com.

I look forward to sharing more with you all.
